Born in Green Bay and raised in a little town in northern Wisconsin (there were four people in his grade and three grades in a room), Bill moved to Maryland in 1965 to take his first teaching job. He and his late wife, Patricia (from Catonsville), have five children and twenty-two grandchildren. He and Patricia were both grateful for the graces of the charismatic renewal. Bill enjoys reading and gardening, and welcoming new members into the universal church through the RCIA.
At his wife’s suggestion, Bill applied to the deacon program. Ordained in 1996 by Cardinal Keeler, he has been assigned to OLV ever since. Bill enjoys retirement, and remains active in prayer groups, liturgy planning, and preaching.
