Katie Jenkins has served as a pastoral staff member in the Archdiocese of Baltimore for the past twenty years, focusing on music and liturgy. Katie is originally from Penndel, Pennsylvania (20 minutes north of Philadelphia), where she began serving as a music minister by playing piano for weekend liturgies in eighth grade. Katie graduated from The Catholic University of America, where she studied Music Education and Sacred Music. She completed a Certificate of Catholic Theology in Liturgy from the McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame. Katie is currently a cohort member of the inaugural Mathis Liturgical Leadership Program at the Center for Liturgy at the University of Notre Dame. Katie is passionate about the intersection of liturgy, the arts, and culture.
Katie has also been an Elementary General/Vocal Music Teacher in Anne Arundel County, MD for the past twenty years. She currently works at Nantucket Elementary School in Crofton. Katie, her husband Chris, and their son Christopher, live in Severna Park, MD.
