To address our needs we have an exciting plan. It calls for:

• Extending the Altar—Pushing out the current altar into the body of the church will bring the liturgy closer to the congregation. By doing this, we will be able to rearrange the sanctuary and seating area so that everyone is closer to the altar and will feel more connected to one another and what is happening in the liturgy. The tabernacle would be placed in a central and special place immediately behind the main altar, its traditional placement. Our music ministry would be moved to a more ideal location—out of sanctuary to a much more suitable space. The pews and kneelers will be spaced apart in a more comfortable arrangement and the pews will be re-inforced for improved sturdiness.
   
• Creating a Gathering Space—Outside the entrance to the worship space, our plans call for creating an expansive gathering space with glass walls that look into the church. In this new gathering space, members can greet and get to know one another before and after Mass. In addition, it can provide overflow seating and additional space where we can hold classes, meetings and other events depending upon our needs. Moreover, this new space will have a kitchenette and a handicapped access bathroom, which will make it an ideal place to host various fellowship activities.
   
• Original Stained Glass Windows—Prominently displayed in the gathering area will be our exceptional, old-style stained glass windows. These windows, originally located in the old St. Mary's Industrial School where our parish first started, have been in storage waiting for the time when they could once again be brought into the light.
   
• Office & Meeting Space—Staff offices will be refurbished and designated for use by the Pastoral Associate, Ushers, Director of Music, and a Reconciliation room which can also be a place where family members can gather in private before funerals or weddings.
   
• A New Distinctive Entrance—Our new entrance will complete and distinguish this area as the main entrance to a church—OUR CHURCH.
